What is Kneipp hydrotherapy? It is part of a method created by Father Sebastian Kneipp, that besides phytotherapy, an healthy diet and movement, used cold and warm water for therapeutic purposes. According this theories, hydrotherapy stimulates both the immune and circulatory system, giving a sensation of vitality and wellbeing.

Along the stream that runs towards the lake, in Parco San Marco there is an open air kneipp parcour. On the stream bed there are rounded stones, so that besides the wonderful therapeutic properties of water, walking slowly on them gives an extra impulse to the body through the stimulation of the reflex points in the feet.

All you have to do is to fill with warm water the buckets at disposal, sit on the bench soaking your feet for 2 or 3 minutes, enjoy the lake view, then walk in the stream for other 2 or 3 minutes. Repeat these two passages 3 or 4 times.
